Media Cell
A “Media Cell” of the Archdiocese of Verapoly was officially inaugurated on September 19, 2005. The inaugural function was presided by His Grace Dr. Daniel Acharuparambil, the Archbishop of Verapoly.
The “Media Cell” consists of Priests and Media Experts, who were chosen from a wider group known as “Media Friendly Persons”. At present there are 23 members in the “Media Cell” of the Archdiocese of Verapoly. The aim of the Media Cell is to create media awareness among the people and to provide objective coverage of events, documents and issues emanating from or concerning the Archdiocese of Verapoly, especially to the secular media.
The “Media Cell” functions also as the link between the newly launched “JEEVANADAM”, the weekly of Kerala Region Latin Catholic Council (K.R.L.C.C.) and the Archdiocese of Verapoly.
The convener of the Media Cell is Rev. Fr. Yesudas Pazhampilly. He is also the Managing Editor of “JEEVAJYOTHI”, the monthly of the Archdiocese of Verapoly.
For all practical purposes he functions also as the PRO.
